Illustrated Oracle
of Moon Rituals with Essential Oils

The inspiring illustrations painted with acrylic and watercolour by Julie Vigneron in 2023
make feminine and unique this Oracle of Moon Rituals with Essentiol Oils.
Client: Beautiful Moon
Beautiful Moon is composed of two ritual creators: Nathalie Aebi Percuoco, specialising in astrology, and Bénédicte Graaf, an aromatherapist.
For more information on the rituals, visit the Beautiful Moon website.
In 2022, Beautiful Moon invited me to co-create their Oracle of Lunar Rituals with Essential Oils, a feminine project full of positive energy, which was warmly received by a specialised publisher in the UK. This partnership allowed us to solidify the project and explore distribution in six languages. When the publisher suggested launching a pre-sale in France, we enthusiastically engaged our community.
At the beginning of 2024, we were set to deliver the oracles to those who had supported us (many thanks to them). Unfortunately, due to delays and difficulties on the publisher’s end, the project was ultimately cancelled. We explored self-publishing, but were unable to fund it. By the summer, we decided to repurpose what we had each created and bring the project to life in other ways.
Project: Illustrated cards' deck
The project aimed to create a deck of illustrated cards designed to guide women through the phases of new moon and full moon. These cards provided tools for balancing introspection with action, helping users move towards a more conscious and harmonious life.
The deck included:
– 24 Lunar Ritual cards,
– 12 Astrological House cards,
– 12 Planet cards,
– 1 Ritual Support card,
– 1 detailed guide translated into six languages.
For each lunar cycle, users are encouraged to perform their ritual using the corresponding card. They can also draw from the planet and house cards to deepen their inner work. The guide provides detailed instructions, and the 48 original illustrations accompany each step, enhancing the experience of working with the relevant energies.

Illustration: Traditionally painted, then digitised
Over several months, I worked closely with the authors on each illustration to capture the unique energy of each lunar phase, planet, and astrological house.
The validation process for the artwork followed three steps:
1- Receipt of the authors’ brief,
2- Approval of the sketch, with possible adjustments and discussion on colouring,
3- Final validation of the coloured illustration, with minor modifications if necessary.
The illustrations were created using a mixed media technique (watercolour and acrylic), with an average size of 25 cm in diameter. They were intended to be printed on cards measuring between 12 and 14 cm in diameter.
Once completed, the works were digitised and prepared for print. The final layout was handled by the publisher and their graphic design team.
