Julie Vigneron
Committed Watercolour Artist and Illustrator

Hello,
I’m Julie Vigneron, a freelance watercolour artist and illustrator.

I create original artworks and commissioned illustrations by hand, blending meaningful themes with a traditional aesthetic. Through watercolour, I give shape to a gentle, conscious imagination — one that honours the boundaries of our living world.

Traditional Watercolour & Eco-Conscious Practice

I specialise in watercolour portraits of women and animals, painted on paper. My work combines a realistic line with bold colour, aiming to evoke positive emotion. But I don’t stop at making beautiful images.

Beyond creating, I’m committed to continually improving my practice — from choosing materials to managing waste and designing eco-conscious digital files. I want my profession to align with my values.

Commissioned Watercolour Illustrations

I work with businesses, publishers, cultural institutions and private clients…

Together, we create original, hand-painted visuals in my signature style that reflect their values. I digitise each piece to enrich a variety of formats — stationery, packaging, editorial, games — or physical spaces.

I’m especially drawn to collaborations with mission-led brands and purpose-driven companies, helping them express their vision of a better world through meaningful imagery.

Meaningful Watercolour Artworks

I believe that social and environmental struggles resonate powerfully through culture — often more so than through traditional channels. Art can awaken, challenge, and inspire the imagination. Through my watercolour portraits of women and animals, I explore our connection to the living world and the ecological questions of our time.

My work can be seen online or at exhibitions in France and across Europe.

Watercolour Workshops & Private Lessons

I support both children and adults in discovering the joy of painting — in small groups or one-to-one.

I run small-group workshops (4 to 6 participants) and private lessons in Camphin-en-Pévèle.
Open to children (from primary school age), adults, and parent–child duos.

I also offer tailored sessions at your chosen venue for private events (birthdays, hen parties…) or within organisations: businesses, associations, art schools, cultural centres…

Watercolour Reproductions - Art Prints & Postcards

Some of my watercolours are available as self-published reproductions — in poster or postcard format.

It’s a lovely way to bring art into your home or gift it to someone, even on a smaller budget.
